For many years Freestyle Football entertainment has been a part of Soccerex events, featuring athletes displaying their talents throughout the exhibition, the football festival and gala dinners. However Soccerex is now happy to announce an official freestyle partnership across all events throughout the year, recognising the emergence of freestyle football.
The Freestyle Football Federation (F3) was established in early 2011 to provide some structure and support to this previously underground art form and promote it as a healthy lifestyle choice for young people everywhere. With the slogan ‘all you need is a ball’, F3 now have members in 82 countries and have established the official World Freestyle Football Championships, World Rankings system and World Freestyle Day amongst many other initiatives.
Speaking on the partnership, F3 President Dan Wood said: “For us this is a significant milestone. To get freestyle football acknowledged in its own right on such a prestigious global stage is fantastic. The Soccerex Global Convention is where the commercial world of football meets and is the perfect platform to grow awareness of our spart (sport and art). By the end of 2012 we will have real participation figures for the first time and a host of commercially viable events where brands can engage with new fans in an exciting and active way.

Soccer skill can be developed through repetition, observation or visualization. With regular training and practice of a specific movement or technique, the player builds confidence and the target motion becomes natural to him.
Another type of "training" one should consider is watching quality games on the TV or videos in slow motion. The act of observing other players' skills can help better your own technique.
Visualization is a radical new method used to instill and develop one's ability. It focuses on picturing yourself in the third person, while applying a specific technique.
The following sections will break down the fundamental skills most often used in the game.
-kicking
-ball control (controlling the ball at speed)
-heading
-dribbling (drills, basic dribbling, intermediate moves and advanced)
-tackling
-goalkeeping
-practicing alone
